Carolyn Dolores Brown, 85, passed away on November 8, 2016 at Pee Dee Gardens in Florence, S.C.
A memorial service will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Gibson Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born May 29, 1931 in Kershaw County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late John Hillard and Agnes Williams Barfield. She loved knitting and baking, and entertaining family and friends. She was the first female deacon of Gibson Baptist Church and was a very active member.
She is survived by her brother, Steven Barfield; step daughters, Mary Ellen Caulder of Laurinburg and Donna B. Jones of Matthews; granddaughter Kimberly Campbell of Laurinburg as well as four additional grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Mike Campbell, her first husband, Ned Campbell and her second husband, Roy Vance Brown.
