Miss Carolyn Ann Ball, 62 of 203 Pinta Drive died Friday, July 16, at Carteret General Hospital.
Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson officiated by the Rev. Dan Carter.
She is survived by numerous family members and friends.
Born October 21, 1941 in Laurel Hill, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Inez Dutch Ball. She grew up in Asheville and graduated from NC State University.
Carolyn worked for the state of North Carolina in therapeutic recreation; teaching marketable skills to special education students. She began her work in Butner, later in Morehead City, and finally in Morganton before her retirement in 1996.
She enjoyed salt-water fishing while at the coast and fly-fishing in the mountains. She was very talented in creating crafts and teaching those skills to others.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill.
