Carol Pierce Jackson 48 died on September 29th 2013 after a long and courageous fight against cancer.
Carol was born and raised in Valley, Alabama but lived most of her adult years in Laurinburg, N.C.
She is survived by her parents, Mark Gerald Pierce and Mary Ruth Pierce of Lanett, Alabama. Her Husband of 15 years Jeff Jackson of Laurinburg. Her sister, Anna Bracey her husband David and their children Trey and Savanna. Three children, Mark Vernon Eley, his wife Cassie and their son Silas of Monroe, N.C. Her daughter Ashley Olivia Gibson and her children Trenton and Olivia Gibson of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and daughter Melissa Ann Strickland and son Ely Strickland of Laurinburg. Along with many friends. Carol loved her family and friends very much.
Carol lived an extraordinary life. She was a medic for Scotland County EMS for many years and then became a flight attendant. Afterwards she went back to College and was given the opportunity to study in Israel. Before becoming sick she was a proud telecommunicator with the Scotland County Sheriff's Office.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1st at 6:00 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. A celebration of her life will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at Haynes Stone's Pond, 6308 Smyrna Church Rd., Laurinburg.
