Bobby "Bob" Von Harris

Bobby “Bob” Von Harris, 77, of Mt. Gilead, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at his home.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Family Worship Ministries, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Pope and Rev. Jamie Hunsucker. Burial will follow at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born September 15, 1941 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Charles “Charlie” C. and Virginia Saunders Harris. He served in the US Army and began a career in the printing business in 1963. He worked at Standard Package and Printing, Ray Print and Packaging and lastly Central Carolina Printing. After his retirement, he did freelance printing from his home. He became a big fan of fantasy football.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Faye Flowers Harris of the home; his children, Chuck Harris (Melanie) of Huntersville, Josh Harris of Greensboro, and Jessica Garton (Brad) of Huntersville; stepdaughter, Sandy Criscoe-Bruinsma (Jeffery) of Troy; sisters, Kay Wells of Columbia, SC, Joanne Sides Huntley of Harrisburg, and Martha Todd of Charlotte; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Howard “Bud” Douglas Harris, and sisters Candis Hunsucker, Betty Lemons, Barbara Hunsucker, Mary Lorena “Chirpy” Smith,  and Sue Brown.

A visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday, September 16, 2019 at Family Worship Ministries.
