Bobby Ray Morris, 67, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Vanlene Nelson. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a face mask or another form of face covering.

Born November 21, 1953 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Fred and Louise Bristow Morris.  Bobby graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was employed as a vice president at First Bank for many years serving as manager of the N. Main Street Branch in Troy, in the Wealth Management division and as manager of the Biscoe Branch. Bobby enjoyed anything sports related, especially watching his favorite team the Duke Blue Devils. He enjoyed tennis and watching his daughter Lauren play softball. Bobby never met a stranger, could talk to a wall, and always made new friends.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Priscilla Saunders Morris of the home; sons, Wesley Todd Morris of Durham and Quinn Alexander Morris (Jennifer) of Seven Devils, NC; daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Morris of Seven Devils, NC; and granddaughter, Eliza James Morris.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Morris, and sister, Patsy Hayes.
