Bobby Alexander Marshall

Bobby Alexander Marshall of Biscoe, formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tracy Gross. Burial will follow at Freeman Hill Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born February 21, 1942, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late James Thomas and Lena Harris Marshall. He was the third of twelve children. After Bobby was diagnosed with polio at 3 ½ years of age, he didn’t let it get him down. As he grew older, he put his faith in his Lord and Savior and did many things he was told he would never accomplish. Bobby was the owner/operator of Kacemby’s Sewing and Alterations for many years. He loved playing his guitar, sewing, and praying for people. Bobby was loved by many people. Gifted with many talents, from art to music. He dedicated his life to God sending out Christian pamphlets to tell others about God’s great love and redemption.

Bobby married the late Mary Elizabeth Cunningham and leaves to mourn step-sons, Wayne Carlos Carpenter (Tina), and Phillip Carpenter (Stephanie); sons, Hervé A. Marshall (Virginia), Gino S. Marshall, and Bruno J. Marshall; daughters, Yolanda G. Marshall, Briggite D. Marshall, Crystal D. Marshall, and Kiev M. Marshall (deceased); brothers and sisters, John Marshall (deceased), Richard Marshall (deceased), Darlena Biggers (Samuel), James Marshall, Nancy Drake, Doris Steele (William), Ethel Horne (Michael), Myrtle Marshall (deceased), Edith Rector, Sharoyn Marshall, and Daniel Marshall. Bobby also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
