Mr. Bobby L. Lett, 66, of 3567 Barrington Road, Bennettsville died at his home Friday August 13, 2004.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday August 16, 2004 at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel in Laurinburg, Rev J.B. Loving and Rev. Kenneth Bleese will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery, Gibson, NC.
He was born August 16, 1938 in Anson Co, NC a son of Cassie Louise Morton Lett and the late Early Green Lett. He was a correctional officer with the Scotland Correctional Center and a former Security officer with LOF Glass in Laurinburg. Bobby was also a former National Guardsman and a former member of the Laurinburg Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his mother Cassie Morton Lett of Laurinburg, daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" Lett Dimsdale of Bennettsville, SC and Teresa Lett Knight and husband Charles of Hamlet, brothers, Richard Lett of Laurinburg, Dennis Walker Lett and wife Mary of Gibson, NC and Dewey(Pete) Lett and wife Faye of Bennettsville, SC., sister, Linda Lett of Laurinburg. Also surviving are his grandchildren, April and Shane Sessoms of Laurel Hill , NC, Leslie and Melissa Knight of Hamlet and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
