Blanche Long Hudson, 92, passed away on Oct. 30, 2014.
Born in 1922, Blanche grew up in Bennettsville, S.C. She was the daughter of Melissa Spivery Long and James Chester Long. She had three siblings: Julian T. Long, James A. Long, and Myrtle M. Long.
Blanche married William H. Hudson in 1942 and they operated Skateland Roller Rink together for more than 30 years. Blanche was active in the First United Methodist Church for 70 years, and her memorial service will be held there at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Blanche is survived by her daughter Janet and Pepper, her handsome black feline adopted son.
