Billy Joe Meads

Billy Joe Meads, 82, passed away Friday.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. John United Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Virginia.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet McNickle (Mike) and Donna Plants of Laurinburg; his sisters, Becky Boltz of Richmond, VA and Peggy Boulter of Dover DE; his grandsons, Justin McNickle (Amanda) and Byron McNickle; his great grandsons, Ayden McNickle, Maddox McNickle, and Cooper McNickle.
Born July 21, 1933 in Palestine, WV, he was a son of the late George and Dolly Rookstool Meads. He later served in the US Marines and was a retired maintenance mechanic in textiles and later with American Electric Power.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Meads and his son, John Meads.
