Betty Ruth MacNair "Mac" Mallard, 83, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton. The family will receive friends following the service at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Ivey Thigpen and husband, Jimmy of Laurinburg; her son, Bill Mallard and his wife, Peggy of Terrell; five grandchildren, Emily Freeman hand husband, Bryan of Laurinburg, Mallory Broomfield and husband, Ken of Wilmington, Katherine Thigpen of Ocean Isle Beach, Sarah Mallard of Charlotte, and Stephen Mallard of Ash; two great grandchildren, Brynley Ruth Freeman and Mary MacNair Broomfield.
She was born January 2, 1932 in Wilson to the late Harvey and Sally Bissett MacNair and was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Mallard and her son, Harvey Mallard.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, PO Box 429, Maxton, NC 29364 or Hospice of Scotland County, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
