Betty Lou King

Betty Lou King, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Morrison Manor.

The family will be holding a private memorial service.

Born, November 11, 1939 in Horry County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher and Juanita Shannon.  She retired from Eaton Cooperation where she was an assembler.  She loved animals, especially dogs and cats and collected statues of them.  She also enjoyed going to yard sales and visiting the elderly.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Houston C. King and one son, Alton Maurice Shannon of the home. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Ernice Long and Mary Lizzie Shannon; and two brothers, Cecil Shannon and Winston Shannon.
