Mrs. Betsy Hayes Johnson, 89, formerly of Laurinburg died Thursday, September 30, at Penick Village.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Forester.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Johnson and wife, Terry of Cleveland, GA and Mark Johnson of Pinehurst; a daughter, Peggy Floyd and husband, Steve of Pinehurst; three grandchildren, Wyatt Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Taylor Floyd and Chad Floyd of Pinehurst; four great grandchildren, Samantha, Connor, Noah, and Ethan Johnson of Phoenix.
Born November 3, 1920 in Raleigh, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Ruby King Hayes and widow of the late Ralph Johnson. She was a graduate of Peace College and Harbarger Business College.
Memorials are requested for Laurinburg Presbyterian Church, 600 W. Church St., Laurinburg, NC 28352 or Penick Village, 100 E. Rhode Island Ave., Southern Pines, NC 28387.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
