Beatrice Hudson "Bea" Currie, 94, died Saturday, August 23, 2014.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike.
Born August 16, 1920 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Eric and Olivia Evans Hudson and widow of the late Wilson Clyde Currie. She operated the Post Office and delivered mail in East Laurinburg for many years.
She is survived by her nieces, Sandra H. Lewis and Sara B. Carroll; her nephews, Eric Hudson, Jr and Warren Pierson; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evie H, Gibson, Elise H. Burns; her brother, Eric H. Hudson; and her nephew, Ashley Pierson.
McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
