Baxter "Mac" McLaurin Laurinburg, NC
Mr. Baxter "Mac" McLaurin, 76, of 12421 Hasty Road died November 29, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday December 1, at the First Baptist Church in Laurinburg, officiated by the Rev. Luther D. Kimry. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jessie McLaurin of the home, two sons Michael McLaurin of Charlotte and Bob McLaurin of Vail CO, one daughter, Patti Sue Webb of Rocky Mount NC, two brothers, Ronnie McLaurin of Hamlet NC, and Carlisle McLaurin of Jacksonville FL, four sisters, Betty Lou Axson and Dee Caudle of Holden Beach, NC, Edith Owens of Dalton GA, and Barbara Owens of Asheboro NC. Mr. McLaurin was also a grandfather of seven and a great-grandfather of three. He was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Caulder, and his brother Hugh McLaurin.
Born May 12, 1926 in Jefferson County Georgia he was a son of the late B.N and Garphelia Stubbs McLaurin. He was a member for 47 years of the First Baptist Church of Laurinburg and a very active member of the Goodwym-Moore Sunday School Class, and a member of the Lions Club.
