Barbara (Chavis) Wright

Barbara Chavis Wright, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Matt Haynes. Due to Covid-19, please wear a mask or another form of face covering, and practice social distancing.

Born March 26, 1948 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Maggie Locklear Chavis. She loved attending her church. She also enjoyed the beach and flower gardening, as well as simply visiting with friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Jacobs and Randolph Chavis, both of Laurinburg, and Glenda Smith of Charlotte. She is preceded in death by her brothers, James Earl Chavis, Robert Ray Chavis, and Jerry Patrick Chavis.
