Mrs. Barbara Shuler Williams, 69, died suddenly Monday, May 18, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. C. F. McDowell, III. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery in McColl, SC.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry Craven and husband, Rock of Martinsville, IN, Mary Gib Conley and husband, Wyndon of Gilbert, AZ; and Susan Barnes and husband, Brett of Wilmington; a brother, Lewis Shuler of Lake Murray, SC; seven grandchildren.
Born September 19, 1939 in Waynesville, she was a daughter of the late Verlin and Mary Lillian Fletcher Shuler. Barbara was a substance abuse registered nurse for over twenty years and retired as a nurse at Scotia Village.
An active member of the First Baptist Church, she served as the music committee chair, as a choir member, with the church leadership council, the WMU, the Ruth Sunday school class, and the UFO's. She was also a board member of the Scotland County Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.n. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
