Barbara C. Poole

Barbara C. Poole, 78, of Stanfield passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Autumn Care in Biscoe.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 130 Cedar Grove Church Rd., Polkton, NC 28135, officiated by Rev. Mark Swarringer. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Barbara was born on September 15, 1946, in Anson County, and she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Ruby Griffin Cowick. Barbara was a longtime member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Leroy Poole of the home; daughter, Tammy Poplin (Wayne) of Stuart, VA; son, Robert Braswell (Regena) of Waxhaw; brother, Buddy Cowick of Goldsboro; sisters, Gracie Lang of Conway, SC, and Dallie Wright of Wadesboro; grandchildren, Jessica Roberts (Scott) of Stanfield, Baylie Keziah (Will) of Burlington, Hope Braswell of Waxhaw, and Colton Braswell of WA; and great-grandchildren, Mason Roberts and Ava Roberts, both of Stanfield. She is preceded in death by her son, David Braswell, and sister, Betty Cranford.
