Barbara (Hurley) Morris

Barbara Hurley Morris passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 at 3 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Rodney Holmes and Rev. Ben Hall.  Her service will be live streamed on our Facebook page. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born February 29, 1940 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Bessie Lee Hurley.  She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a former employee of the textile industry.  She loved her grandbabies, her dog Sunshine, shopping and family.

She is survived by one daughter: Angela Morris Davis (Brad) of Mt. Gilead; one son, William David Morris, Jr, of Mt. Gilead; one sister, Merle Harris of Troy; three granddaughters: Abigail Stanley, Hope Davis and Hadley Morris.   In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, William David Morris and brother, Wallace Hurley.
