Barbara Ann Deaton Catts, 75, of Pamplico and formerly of Laurinburg went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 19, 2014 after a short but valiant battle with liver cancer.
She was one of the four children born of Lacy T. and Zennie Baxter Deaton. She Married Ross Catts on August 6, 1955, and is remembered as a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother. She and Ross were also the parents of four children.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Catts; two sons, Richard Catts (Chrissy) of Pamplico and Ronald Catts (Kandi) of Warrensburg, MO; her dog and constant companion, Kitty Catts; her brother, Richard Deaton of Laurinburg; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and 3 great-great granddaughters.. She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Catts and daughter, Katrina A. Catts and her brothers, Joseph Deaton and Ronald Deaton.
A visitation and service to remember Barbara will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg, NC.
