Barbara Daniels (Bobbie) Campbell

Barbara Daniels "Bobbie" Campbell, 83, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Carolina's Hospital System in Florence, SC.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. L. D. Kimrey. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Denise Byrd (Buddy) of Laurinburg; her sons, Jameson Dale "Jamie" Campbell of Laurel Hill, William Bryan Campbell (Lucinda) of Laurinburg, and James Michael "Mike" Campbell (Bonnie) of St. Pauls; her sisters, Wilma Martin of Murrells Inlet, SC and Audrey Livingston of Marion, NC; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and long-time friend, Lavinia Averitt of Laurinburg.

Born July 21, 1930 in Laurinburg, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Dora Alice Averitt Daniels and widow of the late James Paul Campbell. From 1967 until her retirement in 2003 she served as an accountant with the G. C. Lundin Company, CPA's.

An active member of the First Baptist Church, she was a member of the Couples Sunday School Class, served as a former church treasurer and a deacon, and was active in the Women's Missionary Union. In her spare time she loved listening to books on tape and visiting with family and friends, volunteered at Scotland Memorial Hospital, and in her earlier years, played with a Canasta group.

Memorials are requested for the First Baptist Church, PO Box 883, Laurinburg, NC 28353.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
