Mrs. Ava Lee Carlyle Lassiter, 86, died Sunday, January 11, 2009.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
She is survived by a son, Lee Harrison Lassiter of Wagram and a granddaughter, Lisa Lassiter of Miami Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lassiter and two sons, Douglas Shaw Lassiter and Jerry M. "Mickey" Lassiter.
Born April 8, 1922 in Brunswick County, she was a daughter of the late Craft and Tess Milligan Carlyle. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring HIll Baptist Church.
