Artis "Nack" Lowery, Jr.

Artis “Nack” Lowery, Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Morrison Manor.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm in the chapel prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating will be monitored. Please wear a face mask or face covering and practice social distancing.

Born August 2, 1939 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Artis and Mary Locklear Lowery. He retired as a service technician for Southeastern Farm Equipment after 39 years of service.

He is survived by his brothers, James H. “Buddy” Lowery and wife Barbara of Rome, GA, and Lance Lowery of Gibson; sisters, Virginia Lowery, Ruth Jeffery and husband Kelton of Gibson, Catherine Jordan and husband Jackie of Gibson, and Diane Lowery of Rockingham. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Taylor Lowery, his son, Artis “Buddy” Lowery III, and his sisters, Florence Lowery and Rachel Martin.
