Arlie Roe Sanders

Arlie Roe Sanders, age 81, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. James F. Haywood. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are recommended and please practice social distancing.

Born August 22, 1940, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Girdis Campbell Sanders. Arlie loved his family, was a hard worker, and very mechanically inclined. Before his retirement, Arlie was the owner/operator of A & S Logging.

He is survived by his son, David Sanders of Biscoe; his daughters, Lori Ann Dawkins and Julie Maness, both of Biscoe; brothers, Larry Sanders and Carley Sanders, both of Biscoe; sisters, Doris Bruton of Mt. Gilead and Barbara Kaifos of Rockingham; fifteen grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Brenda “Jude” Sue Sanders; son, Ricky Sanders; brother, Eugene Sanders; and sisters, Betty Brown, Pearlie Mae Sanders, and Cathy Wilmouth.
