Annie Mae (Chavis) Perkins

Annie Mae Chavis Perkins, 91 of Laurinburg, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home.

A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Bumgarner Chapel, officiated by Brother Michael Powell and remarks by Phillip Jones.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Born October 20, 1926 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late John and Lena Belle Chavis.  She retired from Waverly Mills with over 30 years of service.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Joseph Perkins and wife, Laura of Ft. Pierce, FL and Billy Ray Perkins of Laurinburg; her daughters, Lena Gregory and husband, Jesse of Vero Beach, FL and Betty Fore and husband, Larry of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and special nieces, Vivian, Christine and Shirley.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Perkins, son, Wilbert Perkins, sister, Bonnie Lee Taylor, and daughter-in-law, Wanda Perkins.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
