Anne Morris Dryden Lytch, 82, entered the church triumphant on Tuesday, October 4. 2011.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter and the Rev. Elizabeth Forester. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
She is survived by her son, Hector McNeill Lytch, Jr. and wife, Sonia Fabiola Neira of Laurinburg; her daughters, Sally Lytch Wetzel and husband, Paul Wetzel of Jefferson and Jane Lytch Boone and husband, Brad Boone of Albemarle; and her grandson, Lee Dryden Boone of Albemarle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Eleanor Dryden Nichols.
Born May 21, 1929 in Warren County, she was a daughter of the late Morris Staten Dryden and May Sallie Perkinson Dryden and widow of the late Hector McNeill Lytch. She graduated from Women's College, now UNC-Greensboro, and came to Laurinburg as a primary grades teacher in the public schools. She was a career educator and was also the director of the kindergarten at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church.
She received Honorary Life Membership in the Women of the Church and was a circle member at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church, a member of the Thursday Afternoon Book Club, a sustaining member of the Junior Service League, and a volunteer at Scotia Village.
