Anne Mcfarland Jones
October 30, 1931 — January 24, 2001
Mrs. Anne McFarland Jones, 69, of 8303 McQueen Road, died Wednesday at her home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church with Dr. Nick Mager officiating and Monday at 2:00 PM in the Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church.
Born October 30, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Lucille Callahan McFarland. Her husband, Robert, 'Peewee' Jones, Sr., preceded her in death.
A member and deacon of the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church, Anne attended Queens College. Her life was one of service, which included volunteering for Hospice of Scotland County and other areas. She was the organizer and first director of the Marlboro County Recreation Department
She is survived by four sons; ALex Jones, Ed Jones and Gib Jones all of Laurinburg and Pat Jones of Greenville, NC; two brothers, Ed McFarland of Asheville and Jim McFarland of Columbia, SC. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday at the family home in Hasty, NC.
