Born June 5, 1951, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Opal Frick Blake. Ann was a beautiful woman that stood strong with her faith in God. She loved her family and stood by them all. She loved gardening; especially flowers, crossword puzzles, and shopping. She enjoyed nature, Elvis tunes, and the word of God. She was humble and made sure she always had something to give to the ones she loved whether it was a listening ear, or to bring them in to her home to house them. Ann’s heart was very big and pure. She was a safe place for her family. She had a big, beautiful smile and always tried to look at the brighter side of things. She was the family’s protector.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Shue of Troy; son, Rodney Sasser of Troy; brothers, Alvin Blake, and Kent Blake; sisters, Carol Wright, and Linda Lamanski; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everette “Bill” Sasser; brothers, James Blake, Junior Blake, Max Blake, and Frank Blake; and sisters, Pauline McCormick, Cathy Poole, Betty Ernst, and Maxine Blake.
Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 251 Campground Rd., West End, 27376.
