Ann Groves McNeill

Ann Groves McNeill died on Sunday, June 10, 2012. She left a legacy of love, hope and vibrancy to all she touched.

Ann Groves was born on September 26, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Katie Groves Northrop and J. Marion McNeill. She is survived by her beloved daughter Marion Boucher Crumbliss of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.

Ann Groves graduated from St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock, Virginia and from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1963. A dedicated educator, she taught over 25 years. Ann Groves was a member of the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church where she served faithfully as Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Elder, and Leader of the Stephen Ministry. The Women of the Church honored her with a Life Membership Award. She was on the founding boards of Hospice of Scotland County and the Scotland County Arts Council and performed in several Encore Theater productions.

Ann Groves enjoyed learning new things, entertaining, and telling a good joke. She embraced life with enthusiasm and was loved by many. Her ability to see the good in everyone and everything enriched all who knew her.

Visitation will be at the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church fellowship hall following the memorial service.
