Ann Beachum Hulon Lytch, 99, passed away Monday, May 4, at Scotia Village.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike. Burial will precede the service in Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Ronald B. Hulon (Clara) of Laurinburg; her sisters, Audrey B. Hatter,
Connie B. Sandler, and Lucy B. Griffin of Virginia Beach; her step-grandchildren, Chris Alexander, Lori Alexander Loosemore, and Scott Alexander; her special children, Sue Simms and Aaron and Caroline Tanner; several nieces and nephews.
Born March 9, 1916 in Ansonville, she was a daughter of the late Ferrell and Alice Carpenter Beachum, and widow of the late Clyde E. Hulon (d. 1957) and B. P. Lytch (d. 1993.)
During her life Ann served as an American Red Cross volunteer at the Airbase during World War II, and later became a teller for Southern National Bank at its opening in Laurinburg in 1959.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a Lioness, a member of W.O.W. and the Laurinburg Women's Club in the 1960's and '70's.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
