Mrs. Ann Virginia Holloway Bullard, 82, 19181 Arch McLean Road died Tuesday, November 14, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.


A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill Baptist church officiated by the Rev. Van Ingram.


She is survived by a son, William R. Bullard, III of Wagram; two daughters, Margaret Susan Bullard and Maurine Ann Chieffet of Wagram; a brother, James Holloway of Dallas, TX, 3 grandchildren; Alexis Chieffet, Heather Ann Todd, and Dana Lee Stern, Jr; 3 great grandchildren, Danielle Scott, Cody Honeycutt, and Daniel Stern. She is also survived by 3 nephews, Richard Holloway of Dallas, TX, Jack Holloway of Leesburg, FL, and Don Holloway of Richmond, VA; a sister-in-law, Marian Valentine of Florida; a brother-in-law, Jim Bullard of Raeford. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Willian R. Bullard, Jr. whom she married June 3, 1942 at Langley Field, VA.


She was also predeceased by her three brothers, George, Arthur, and Jack Holloway.


Her local cousins also include the Cooleys, Murrays, Pedens, and Monroes.


She was a retired elementary school teacher in Scotland and Hoke Counties, a retired librarian for Scotland County Memorial Library, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium of Laurinburg.
