Ann Davis Hasty

Ann Davis Hasty, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Columbus County.

A time of visitation to honor and remember Ann Davis Hasty will be held on Saturday,  August 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Ann’s life and the lasting impact she made on all who were privileged to know her. Burial will be private.

Born on December 11, 1932, in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Walker Davis and Ella Gentry Davis.

Throughout her life, Ann exemplified devotion and care, especially towards her family. She had a special bond with her grandchildren, and her affection for her extended family was evident to all who knew her.

Ann’s greatest joys came from the times spent with those she loved. She delighted in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasuring each moment she shared with them. Known for her fondness for playing bridge, Ann enjoyed the challenging nature of the game and the camaraderie of community it fostered. Her presence brought warmth and kindness to every gathering, and her love for her family defined her most meaningful accomplishments.

Ann is survived by her son, Franklin Hasty (Patricia) of Chadbourn; her granddaughter, Tricia Chambers (Peter) of Lake Waccamaw; her grandson, Scott Hasty of Whiteville; and her great-grandchildren, Luke Thompson of Whiteville, Seth Thompson of Lake Waccamaw, Kaitlyn Hasty of Whiteville, and Mason Hasty of Whiteville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Walker Davis, and her mother, Ella Gentry Davis.
