Alice Faye (Jones) Priest

Alice Jones Priest, 68, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Morrison Manor.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Michael Malpass. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm at the church until service time.

Born December 26, 1951 in Sampson County, she was a daughter of the late Freddie W. and Joyce Harris Jones. She obtained an associate’s degree in nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Alice was dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and flowers, and spending time with her family at the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Priest Creed and husband Clay of Laurinburg, NC; son, Daniel Stuart Priest and wife Lori of Charlotte, NC; step-sons, William “Willie” Edward Priest, Jr. and wife Becky of Laurinburg, NC, and Timothy Wayne Priest and wife Hiromi of Dover, DE; sisters, Peggy Jones Starnes and husband Ronnie of FL, Betty Jones Merritt and husband Phillip of Clinton, NC; brothers, Freddie Jones, Jr. and wife Patricia of Roseboro, NC, Alton Jones of Newton Grove, NC, Jerry Jones of Chocowinity, NC and David Jones and wife Melody of Fuquay Varina, NC; grandchildren, Hayley Creed, Andrew Creed, Lucy Priest, Max Priest, Charlotte Priest, Raleigh Priest, and Michelle Priest Oxendine; great granddaughter, Madison Oxendine; and her grand-pup, Chewie. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, William Edward Priest.
