Alice Smith Deaton, 79, formerly of Laurinburg passed away Monday.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Faith Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Joey Deaton of Laurinburg; her daughters, Angie Usher (Wayne) of Tatum and Tina Glansberg (Mitch) of Hollywood, FA; and 4 grandchildren.
Born August 8, 1933 in Trenton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Louis and Alice Mae Wildman Smith and widow of the late Joseph Deaton. She formerly served with DuPont Chemicals in Delaware and Ingraham Clock Company in Laurinburg.
Alice loved raising her children and nearly every other child within blocks.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Scotland County, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353 or the Marlboro County Council on Aging, PO Box 1195, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
