Alice Wooten Callicutt, 84, of Troy, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at her home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel in Troy, officiated by Rev. Richard Lynthacum. Burial will follow at First Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born May 4, 1940, in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Carrie Mullinix Wooten. Alice had retired from Comp C as an information technologist. She was known for selling Avon and Home Interior for many years. Alice loved spending time with her family and enjoyed putting puzzles together.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wiley E. Callicutt of the home; sons, James Hurley (Becky) of Norman, OK, and Anthony Hurley of Newport, NC; step-daughter, Christina Fuller of Carthage; brothers, Wayne Wooten (Janice) of Biscoe, and Jerry Wooten (Lynn) of Trinity; grandchildren, Jamie, Gabriel, Michael, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Macie, Aiden, and Kellen. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Horn (Leonard) of Tyro, Thelma Norton (Johnny) of FL, and Brenda Davis of Lexington; brothers, Robert Wooten (Wilma) of Midway, John Wooten (Anna) of Lexington, and James Wooten (Jewel) of Clemmons; and grandson, Aaron Hurley.
