Alene Bullard Tyson

Mrs. Alene Bullard Tyson, 85, of 1301 Charles Drive died Sunday, January 6, 2008.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. James Rupard. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville.
She is survived by a son, Michael Tyson and wife, Linda of Lumberton; a daughter, Susan Gayle Tyson of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Jonathan Tyson and wife, Rachel of Creedmoor and Adam Tyson of Lumberton.
Born January 12, 1922 in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Viola Hales Bullard and widow of the late J. C. Tyson. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, the Young at Hearts Club, a volunteer at Scotland Memorial Hospital, and a poll worker. Alene was a retired supervisor at Morgan-Jones and later Springs Mills.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
