Shelton 'Punk' Taylor
July 19, 1938 — January 17, 1999
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Jeff McGirt.
Born July 19, 1938 in Gibson, he was a son of the late Luther and Annie Mae Stubbs Taylor and was a former mechanic for Buck's Exxon.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Dawn Taylor of Maxton; a brother, Alvin John Taylor of Charlotte; four sisters, Virginia Ray and Louise Bass of Laurinburg, Mary Haire of Hamlet, and Shirley Locklear of Tar Heel; one grandson, James Cody Hunt.
