Adam Thomas Birckhead, 29, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church in Biscoe, officiated by Rev. Jamie Sink and Rev. Bruce Dickerson. Burial will follow in Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Born April 17, 1990 in Montgomery County, he was the son of Thomas Wiley, Jr. and Kim Hurley Birckhead. Adam was a 2008 graduate of West Montgomery High School and loved to fish and play baseball. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was a traco operator in the construction business.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Megan Birckhead Housley and her husband, Brandon of Troy; his nephews and niece, Jordan, Bryson and Mattie who loved their uncle dearly; maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Marie Hurley of Troy; and maternal great grandmother, Ruby Davis of Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas Wiley and Mable Birckhead; and his great grandfather, N.B. Hardister.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Christian Family Center, 21 Outreach Lane, Soperton, GA 30457 or Samaritan Colony Inc., 136 Samaritan Drive, Rockingham, NC 28379.
